Let's Begin!--Day 1 of Healthy Writing.

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Are  you ready to go?  You've got your goals in sight and your attitude is positive, right?  Good!  Positive attitudes are what we need!  We can do this!

As of last week I was able to keep my pre-start goals.  (We won't discuss this weekend though--I think I enjoyed a cupcake or two from a party and a couple of adult beverages that may have dipped into my 49 point allowance Weight Watchers now gives me a week on their new points program.)  I didn't do my normal routine either.  But I'm back into the groove today.

I want to thank my friend Virginia Paige for joining me this morning on my walk at 6:00 a.m.  I look forward to tomorrow morning too!  I've had my cereal, two 12oz glasses of water and my vitamin so I'm ready to edit this morning and looking forward to doing the first of many writing/goal setting challenges today at noon (EST).

I will be on Twitter (@LoniLynne1) if you all want to join me--I will also post of Facebook (LoniLynne) and sending emails around that time.  If you want to join in we will try and do what a friend of mine refers to as 1K1H (1,000 words in 1Hour).  Post in either comments here or on Twitter/or Facebook what you've accomplished.

Anyone can post if they feel the need to start one whenever and we'll see who wants to jump on the band wagon. 

My writing goal is to finish the first draft of my novel, "Save Me" by the end of August and finish re-writing my first novel, "Immortal Heat" by the end of September.  As far as personal goals, I'm looking on getting down 10 pounds or drop two pant sizes by mid September.  Baby steps.

  3. 1,508 words! Not saying these are great words, but they're there, and I'm thrilled. When's the next challenge? :) This is brilliant, Loni. I think my productivity is going to spike this month.

    I am trying to do another one around 2:30/3:00pm so I will take a brief break and grab some lunch and a bit of house work . Keep going if you want to. Don't stop if you are in the groove!

  6. Have simple goals. (I think. At least, they're way less structured and precise than yours, Loni.) First, no refined or artificial sugar. Other than that, work though my vicious all or nothing thinking. If I can't work all day and attempt my 3K goal (I'm a slow writer), I can still work for a few hours to accomplish something. Same goes for exercise. One twenty minute session of yoga every day. I need to put my exercise videos to use, too. So one video everyday, too.

    Whatever works for you. As long as you are happy with your goals and structure--sticking to it and accomplishing those goals are the point. 3k is a good amount of writing for a day. It's still a good portion of a chapter or even a chapter possibly.

  10. Any one up for another round at 4:30pm (EST) I'm up for it. We'll do this one and then I'll do two more this evening--one at 7:30pm-8:30pm (EST) and another from 9:00pm-10pm (EST)

  11. 1,078 words this round. How about you all? Don't forget we will have two more writing times one at 7:30pm (EST) and another at 9:00pm (EST). If you're done for the day great job! Just remember--you don't have to do all the writing times, I'm just setting times for people to jump in on when they can. I will be here though for them. Just do the times you can! Hey, if all you get is one hour a day in--that is fantastic! Don't forget your exercise too!
