Boil until tender. Remove veggies but save broth. In 6 tablespoons of butter (or you can use olive oil or whatever fat you want), brown one small onion (chopped) and 3 cloves of garlic. Add 6 tablespoons of flour. Stir in 1 1/2 cups of skim milk. Add back in veggies then add in broth to get desired consistency. Add salt and pepper to taste.
